Richard Paey a free man!

Richard Paey, a quadriplegic serving 30 years for possession of LEGAL prescription medicine, has finally been freed after receiving a pardon from Republican Governor Charlie Crist. Paey was freed from prison on September 20, 2007. That it took this long for him to be freed is a shame, and former governor Jeb Bush should be ashamed that he took no action and let a man who was CLEARLY not guilty of any crime languish in prison for over three years.
Paey’s wife, Linda, has understandable views on the system …
”I’ve changed. I no longer trust the police. I don’t trust the justice system,” she said. “Only the media got our case right.”
They did get it right in the end. But it took way too long …
